The cost of the Nintendo DS has changed dramatically since its launch in 2004, as the successor to the incredibly popular handheld The Gameboy. The main reason for the varying cost is down to the progressive changes the DS has seen in the six years since its release. First, the DS shrank in size, whilst the stylus, used for the innovative touch screen grew in side became the DS Lite. Extra features, including a camera that allowed the user to manipulate their photos for their own amusement, introduced the DSi, and further feature developments brought the launch of the brand new DSi XL in early 2010. Currently available are the DS Lite, the DSi and the DSi XL. Each console plays any DS game that is currently on the market, however, if you are looking for a console that will be compatible with your old Gameboy Advance games, then you will only be able to play them on the DS Lite, as the two newer models do not have this feature.
