Aerosmith.
In 1964, a 16-year-old Steven Tyler formed his first “serious” band The Strangeurs. Several name changes later, and the band that would eventually become known as one of American’s best rock bands, became known as “Aerosmith”. Aerosmith’s greatest hits have included “Walk this Way”, which saw them collaborate with rap act Run DMC. But, their most famous (or popular) song is actually a power ballad. Taken from the hit 1998 film “Armageddon”, “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” saw Aerosmith debuting at the top of the charts in nine different countries, including in the American Billboard Chart. This was pretty impressive for the band who had never debuted sat at the top of the chart in their 28 year history prior to the release of the song. The band has released a total of 14 albums, with a new one expected in 2010. But you don’t have to worry about trying to find that missing CD from your collection, because we’ve done all the hard work for you.
